How do you leave the Teeth of Naros?
I only have a few side quests left and I'd like to get back to the normal playing area.

Fast travel should work.

I don't see it on the map... so what am I missing?

Go to the world map not the local map and go up because the teeth of naros map is in the bottom left corner. go up and right a bit and you should see webwood and the rest. hover over any location you've already visited and you should be able to fast travel as normal.

No problem

If you get the "can't fast travel" bug, then your best bet is a mod you can find on nexusmods which allows fast travel from everywhere (which might break the game otherwise if you fast travel without being supposed to). If you don't want to use a mod and you have this specific bug (which is well known in the naros expansion for years), then you have to load an old save where fast travel still works and play from there on. But look up some forum threads and guides beforehand, there are at least two situations (quests) where you can get this bug. One is "school of hard knocks" the other was a specific puzzle dungeon.

I think this has been fixed with patch 3.

Anyone know if the fix carries into a previous save? just stopped my game once I re-encountered this bug, and want to know if I need to restart from scratch/ or start from a point it was not an issue to get going again. Thanks all!

There is a post in the patch 3 discussion that says previous saves do work. Enter a cave then exit or any other area that reloads the main area of teeth of naros and it should allow fast travel again.
