It pays to save frequently and definitely before starting each and every quest. I've had to roll back my game twice now - once with the Selkie Veil quest and another time with the Plagueshield quest, both because I couldn't pick up the quest item.
It's a massive bummer all these bugs carried over from the original game.
Also never say never, at the moment we aren't focused on bug fixing as we want the expansion to be finished and if we start fixing bugs odds are we will break it while making the expansion so most bug fixing is being sorted AFTER the expansion is launched.
That being said, if you guys didn't report it into our database we can't really fix it :)
Can't fix issues we are not aware of.

Yeah, like... months ago.
I also experienced the daggers bug (daggers charged attack does no damage, or 1 hit out of 5 does). So I guess bug fixing has not been a priority at all
What do you mean not aware of? Its a popular bug lmao.
not all bugs are as common as you think. I (for example) have not run into this bug. The bug that I ran into only happened 3/4ths the way through the game and decided to press on - only reporting it after finishing the fatesworn dlc.
