Sweet! Thanks. I'm happy to hear that. I'm so excited about my collector's edition and to spend even more hundreds of hours in Re-Reckoning (558 logged in the original). The Fate edition is likely going to release far enough ahead from now that I'll be just fine waiting and buying that separately when it releases. Y'all are great. Thank you!
I hope so too. I'll be making sure to save frequently. Even when playing the original on hard I would get complacent and stop saving, and then I'd do something stupid or stop paying attention and get killed in a really dumb way. That didn't happen too much, but I hate crudoks and ettins and both always give me trouble no matter how many times I've fought them.
That's one issue I have with Dark Souls is that dying respawns you at a bonfire (or lamp in the case of Bloodborne), and saving yourself only happens if you're going to quit to go to the main menu. I rather prefer just respawning where my last save was (whether auto or a manual save I did myself).
I played the original like a week or so ago. Only did a little bit just to kill some time. I already have 558 hours in it, so Re-Reckoning for me is more to experience the increased difficulty, the armor, weapons, and other items I missed out on with the first game, and then that expansion coming in 2021.
For info the promo is done automatically for owners of the original version)
Very true. I've had to teach myself to approach the Souls games very differently from other RPGs and such. I don't do rogue-like games much, and isometrical games usually aren't something I go for either, but it depends on the genre of the game.
I do wish KoA would let us bait out enemies one or two at a time. I can handle the crowds just fine, but I do love that in Dark Souls I just entice each enemy to me and not fight a lot at once. Then again, it's far easier to get in way over your head in those games than it is KoA.
