Map bug

Is there a way to fix that black map bug?

Not so far. I've been waiting a week now for them to reply to the ticket I created "in step three".
I tried playing with this Dark Mode, and it just sucks so I'm just going to wait for the DLC now I guess. I got 50 hours in so I guess that's good but only half way and in the old game I got 100 hours and this never happened. :(

Same here. If you search the forum, you can see quite a few people hitting this bug. It's been reported several times in the bug reporting post.

i have even revert back to a previous save, played a while and try very hard to make sure I checked the map being good before saving. Still happens when I load the game after. Just waiting for the developer fix now.

I played about 100 hours without that bug, but yesterday it finally got me was well. Pretty annoying :/

its in the plains when u reach certain corners on the map that region wil bug out and the local map wil be black with only the icons. I hope they fix this asap.

My map went dark when I was in Kandrian, just a bit south of Tam's Wagon, if this help. Though I have read others reporting a different location... it is a pretty annoying bug.

They finally responded to the ticket I opened for this a few weeks ago. Saying that it is now a duplicate report and closing my ticket. Must be getting fixed of at least they must be trying. Hopefully next update will have a fix.

I usually take a manual (not quick) save every dungeon I go in or when I level up. I'm hoping that if I get the blacked out map that I can just go back to a previous save?

I haven't had the bug yet and I'm like at level 21 not far after Ysa.

I was just past level 30. I still play now as it's only one area made up of a few regions that is blacked out.

They fixed it! No more blacked out maps at all. :)
