It's hard to compare the two games.

They both have things the other doesn't

Honestly, I think I prefer the first one better. This one feels....well....more sanitized then the other one. The first one was willing to be offensive.

Should be obvious but this one is a lot easier to get into, as was probably the main goal of the game.

If you're a CE1 vet you probably aren't gaining much, but if you couldn't figure out or get into the first game, this one is much smoother.

This one is too direct with its mechanics tool tips, leaving less room for natural rules discovery. It should really allow for players to select less direct tool tips, or nearly none at all.

Other than that it has much more content, and it's still great. The first is a nearly perfect game design for what it is, but this 2nd one is quite a bit more elaborate. I love both of them, and I think they're both worth getting.

First one's better in my opinion. Hard to finger on why exactly, but some of it comes down to how characters feel more specialized in this one. I feel like you could get by playing a team of whatever in the first game and making good decisions in play, while in 2 it seems more like setting yourself up with strong items matters more than the characters or what you actually do in play.

The underground sections also feel grindy.

First one is better, they tried to make a different game and it failed.

Failed game with 87% positive from more than 1k reviews. Yeah... truly failure. :steammocking:

Yes, kiddo. First one has a 91% rating and about 30% more sales. This game should have been even better. It failed.

Also, I prefer the art direction on first game. Contribute to render it more raw and deep to my opinion.

Hello Old man with newborn baby IQ. You just compare sales data from game that have sale timespan of 6-7 years with game that have sale timespan 8 months. :steammocking:
You're straight up retarded. Games make 70% of their sales in the first two weeks. And if this game continues to sell, what makes you think the original will not sell more too?

You're pathetic, try again.

Pathetic doubtful old man still argue that if any games sell volumes less than before even before by few percent even though they still make a lot of sell volumes and a lot of profit. Then those games still failed.

Now he only change topic from how this game is failed to 'whatever anyone say this game still sells less than previous one' instead.

Btw i'm pretty sure FF7 sell more copied than almost every FF mainline series version that come after it. I guess Final Fantasy series also failure accord to this Pathetic doubtful old man too. If that the case this retarded need to go psychiatric hospitals instead of elderly home.

This retarded ignore his own logic from before that must have 92% rating and above outright. Probably realize that only 92% or more is consider not failure rule is illogical can can't use it for win argument (if not troll).

Try again with more reasonable and less pathetic logic to explain us why this game failed.

Please, people, I must ask you to stop arguing on this level. Move on and call this conflict finished.

the biggest diff in CE2 compare to the first opus aside from the graphics assets (whitch are good) is that there is no mod in the workshop and the game feel less rogue like at least in campain mode. Also we lost all the historic figures like rasputin, amelia earhart, etc....
But the mods were what kept me playing CE1 a lot : serial killer from movies, link from zelda game mod, Mc scrooge, indiana jones and more. I even try to make my own stargate SG1 mod (unfinished). For this second game, no mod means I won't play more than a few hours.
