Is there a settings config file for controller binds?
Hi, I was wondering if there's a settings or config file I could access for the controller binds anywhere and if so someone might point me in the right direction please?

I ask because when I configure the pad controls to my liking, they work fine whilst playing but get messed up when I quit and restart the game again.

Ideally I'd like to play with a 360 pad and look/aim with both the left and right sticks if possible. This seems to work temporarily if I have the looking axes set to the left stick then also bind the individual look left, right, up and down commands to the right stick (which is great) but when I restart the game these settings get muddled. I don't know if this is a factor but I reverse the sticks in the free cam settings so they work more like a standard FPS game with moving on the left stick and looking on the right (and this works fine in-game and doesn't get messed up when it restarts).

Hello,

Thanks for reporting this issue. The config file is being saved correctly, but things are getting mixed up when actually loading the config.

I can release a patch soon to fix this. I also noticed that resetting the bindings to default doesn't actually remove new bindings, so I will fix that as well.

When I was messing around yesterday with the bindings and settings I also noticed that the dynamic shadows on/off don't always seem to work as I'd expect. Seemed OK in Arcadia but in the next 2 outdoor courses I tried (desert and dreams), the shadows remained regardless of the setting.

The reason for that is because the Realtime Shadows option only toggles shadows for smaller lights like lanterns, lamps, candles, spotlights, etc. Enabling shadows for these kind of lights is very graphically demanding.

Sunlight on the other hand is relatively cheap to render shadows for, so those shadows are always enabled unless you set the Shadow Quality option to None (which also overrides the Realtime Shadows option)

Patch 1.0.2 has been released which should fix this problem.

Based on my testing, you should not have to make any changes to your input bindings for it to correctly load in.

EDIT: Just gave it a quick trial and it works a treat now. My life is better :)
