Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. To see what is going on I will need to look at your game logs.

These logs are located at Documents\My Games\MiniGolf Maker\Logs. You can send them to support@roadturtlegames.com and I will see if I can find what the problem is.

There is no 'Logs' folder, only 'Blueprints', 'Courses', and 'Mods', I tried creating a Logs folder but it was still empty after playing again. I've tried rebooting my PC and reinstalling the game as well.

Ok, so that means we'll unfortunately have to go to another location for the logs.

Open Windows Explorer and paste this into the navigation bar:
%userprofile%/AppData/LocalLow/Road Turtle Games/MiniGolf Maker

You should be taken to a folder that has Player.log and Player-prev.log files. You'll need to send both of those files.

There may also be a Crashes folder. If there is one, you'll need to send that whole folder.

- Kevin.

Ok thanks, that got me there, just sent email, no crashes folder

Hmm, it looks like I will need to do a lot of research into this. This isn't a problem I've seen before.

Also, I was incorrect about where the Crashes folder is. This folder is actually located at:
%TMP%/Road Turtle Games/MiniGolf Maker

If you could go to that folder and send the Crashes folder that could provide me with more info.

Sent the Crashes folder, thanks for looking into this.

Do you perhaps have an anti-virus or a firewall that could be blocking the game from hosting a lobby? If so, you could try disabling it before running the game and see if you can host then.

The app is allowed on my firewall, tried turning that and anti-virus off to test, but made no difference.

Went through and made sure all my drivers were up to date, no luck.

So I don't have any sure solutions for this, so what I'm going to do is try updating the networking code (I use a 3rd party solution) and release a patch.

If that doesn't work, I'll try updating again to an even newer version (that takes a lot more work to update to) and release another patch.

I'll let you know when the patch is released.

Ok, sorry if this ends up being some dumb thing on my end, but I can't think of anything else to try.

Spent some time going through the tutorials and messing around in the course maker, very impressed so far! Eager to dive more into it.

The update has been released. Let me know if it works.

I also added the ability to start an offline game. I would be interested to see if that works for you.

No change with hosting a game, but the offline game works just fine, so I'm happy with that for now.

That's a shame, but I am glad that the offline mode works, and it does confirm that the problem lies with trying to connect to the hosting service I use. I still would like to try doing another update of my networking code. I'll need a bit more time for that, though.

No trouble downloading and playing workshop courses either, haven't tried uploading anything yet, have not had the opportunity to try joining an online game.
