Sorry for the delayed response. This is honestly such a simple option to add that I'm kind of embarrassed I haven't already added it. I can add an option for each player to turn down the speed of the shot power.

Sorry for the delay. You can change the power speed for each player in the lobby by selecting a player's ball to open the player management window, then adjusting the "Shot Power Speed" slider.
You can also change the speed from in-game by opening the pause menu and going to "Manage Players". From there you can select a player and adjust their Shot Power Speed just like in the lobby.
