Have you tried pressing the "G" key to make sure all of the green section points are aligned to the grid before trying to snap them together? Currently the green section snapping requires the points to be overlapping very precisely. So it can look like they are overlapping, but can be a tiny bit off if they were ever moved without position snapping enabled.

Because of this, there are always little glitches in my creations where sections come together. I have been able to minimize them with careful (and time consuming) editing, but they never go away completely.

To help me determine the issue, could you send your game logs and the course you were editing (where the snapping is not working) to support@roadturtlegames.com.
The game logs are located in Documents\My Games\MiniGolf Maker\Logs. Just send all of them and I will look through them for errors.
Courses are located in Documents\My Games\MiniGolf Maker\Courses. This folder contains a folder for each course you have saved. The folder names are basically gibberish, so depending on how many courses you have saved it may be difficult to determine which folder matches the course you were editing. You can either go through each folder and use something like the save_thumbnail.jpg image to identify the course, or you can just send me the entire contents of the Courses folder and tell me the name of the course.

I thought I found a workaround for this problem. Clever me. I did 18 holes, with the tee and hole snapped together, then I would copy it, then go on to the next hole until I got all 18 done. Each hole had tee and hole snapped together and the copy beside it. When making the hole I would copy the copy, then work from those copies, leaving the original copy alone. When done, I would snap in the hole section and the tee section.
This worked like a charm until hole #5. Snap worked for about 10 sections, then stopped working. I exited to main menu without saving anything, then went back. Snap would not work at all, even on hole #6. I quit the game without saving it, then went back. Snap still would not work. I then REBOOTED MY MACHINE after quitting without saving, and EVEN THEN snap would not work!
"Position Snap" was off, and turning it on solved the problem, even with previous courses. I have no idea why I did not see that before.
