Any way to play this without a VR headset?

So I noticed that the page doesn't say that a VR headset is required (only "supported"). The game seems to run perfectly fine without one, except I can't look around (so i'm missing out on most of what's happening off camera). Is it possible to control this with a mouse, or is this game VR only?

Q:Will a playable version of Tokyo Chronos be available that doesn't require VR hardware?

A:Currently, there are no plans to make a non-VR version of Tokyo Chronos but it may be considered in the future after development is complete.

So at this time yes, you do need a VR headset to play

**UNOFFICIALLY**, yes. Sort of at least.

The demo at least works with Riftcat's VRidge as seen in this video ( https://youtu.be/FpD9p07UH1U ) about 45 seconds in.

You do need to own an Android smartphone and (ideally) a Google cardboard to do this without a VR headset though.

You could either wear the headset or rig something to hold the phone and turn it as needed to see on your screen.

2 years later: I would also love to be able to play this game with mouse. I hope devs would considerate it for the future.

Yes, I know it says "Half Life: Alyx" but it practically works with any VR game if you set it up properly.

To those interested now or in the future; they released a version on Switch that does not require/use VR - hoping they port/patch this to steam

usefull info. For some reason game is lagging in vr headset. 8 out of 10 time I launch the game.
