He even wrote some "how~to" Steam Guides showing us how to "burn" the 2K Launcher ~ many of us favored his Guide using the 2K Game Sid Meier's Civilization VI as his example 2K Game, but the method worked on the other 2K Games as well.
I've not bought Mafia: Definitive Edition yet because the first round of reviews haven't been very positive so far but Shnepy's method of "burning" the 2K Launcher will probably work OK on your game. If you'd like to try it out here's a link to his Steam Guide with the 2K Launcher Killer https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2456022077 Good luck & happy gaming
PS Shnepy's Guide isn't the only one on resolving the various 2K Games' tech issues as you'll see when you Google up the topic. What I found most fascinating was the huge quantity of their games ruined by their own publisher's tech issues ~~~ mebbe 2K should even hire someone familiar with modern game coding, y'know? It's just an idea but then the investment would cost 'em a bit of money ~ a practice they've never really fancied so I ain't holding my breath on it.
