do I have to do all the the achievements again, even if I had them done in the classic version?

It's not really a cheat if you DID what you were supposed to do and didn't receive the achievement...

To be honest, usually I'm against using SAM but COME ON, who decided that Enforcer achievement is a good one to get and fun at that. It's super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring and anyone in 2K back in 2010 should be shot in the head for coming up with an Idea of such achievement, especially when you have to do it in such a boring DLC as Jimmy's Vendetta is.

I doubt it. The save games seem to be linked since I have both installed and can use the same saves.

You have to, game stats like distance driven etc. is broken if you use save file from the classic Mafia 2, some achievements are doable using the old save files but game won't just magically unlock all if you load the game from the classic game save file.

For example, you can use Joe's Adventure 100% Save file because you actually have to do like 3-4 missions in the whole DLC + stuff like 2000 points for speed etc. however this does not work for Jimmy's Vendetta.

Following that philosophy would get you banned on any tracker site. I've seen you popping up on steamhunters. Using SAM to unlock any achievement whatsoever is a breach of steam's ToS and a reason to get banned from the leaderboards of any achievement hunter tracking site. So best not use it. Fair play is more rewarding anyways.

I don't use it, I am just saying that achievements should ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unlock when you do the asked task. So in THIS INSTANCE, it's fair play. The achievement is easy anyway. You should unlock it organicaly after few chapters. So how is it "rewarding" in this case? The achievement is bugged and you are not rewarded. You think they'll fix it? Doubt it.

Yeah well, then I'd even say "People spending time outside their house have better things to do" than care about game achievements in the first place, and wouldn't try to cheat them with whatever justification they can find. They just play the game and aren't obsessed about these little popups in the corner and completion percentages.

Anyways, it's an endless debate, there are people who love SAM and others who hate it.

I had 68% and now 66% after starting Mafia 2 DE. This remaster counts.

Also don't listen to achievement elitists, use SAM for broken achievement, nobody cares.

For once I decided to complete all achievements in mafia 2 and I was so pissed when I find out that even "complete game on normal and hard difficulty" achievements were broken too. Ofc I found out after I suffered through whole game hard difficulty. It's not that hard but some shooting parts are unfair when NPC's kill you in half a second if you're out of cover. Hopefully they will fix this and I won't have to go through the game again once it's fixed.
