I just recently looked at the playerbase of TL and I havent stopped laughing. TL2 which is 8 years old, has over 1k daily. TL3 aged about a decade in a month. that is hilarious!

PS: it was initially set to be a F2P game but decided on going a premium model where you pay once and get all the content. Sadly...no content or gameplay or interesting classes or interesting skills...i forget why i bought this game.
Almost no one playing this game. According to this payment model the devs were able to earn some money although. Do you realise how many losses did the devs have in case of f2p model? And online would fall immediately for sure. The game is poor with content and mechanics and more gamers play in TL2 than this one
Agree, game in its current state looks boring but to be fair they just announced a wipe coming in 2 weeks that will have major game changes. What would be the point in playing now?

i stopped playing a day after i got the game...nothing included in these patches has peaked my interest enough to make me come back. I might check the new relic system but the gameplay needs a HUGE overhaul from top to bottom before i come back. when they make the grind and gameplay worth playing or fun in other words, I will come back.
your commenting about daily active players for early access for a unfinished game that has announced multiple wipes will happen prior to launch.

Come back 30 days after its released and if there are only 700 people playing you might have a point.

you have a point. it recently became available to the public and has room to better itself. But will it get better and will there be people around that still have interest when it is completed? that is the big if. I was a big fan of fallout games, even with the buggy hell that each one was. Until Fallout 76. After the Fallout of Fallout...I will never play another game under that franchise/developers again. This might be their Fallout. Because it sure as hell looks like it. But like you said, in 30 days we will have more information. To prove me right or wrong.
wasnt keeping up with whats going on
but was the issue the game has no content and not the pricing ?

tl2 is all about mods, isnt it ?
i think ppl want to make or play mods with new classes and questchains etc
like darkest dungeon is 4years old and the works shop is full of custom stuff

you kinda need that for your indie game if you release today

well it was rage at the price tag because of the lack in content. they go hand in hand. to me the game is empty and shallow. i have had indie devs do way more with less. but its like russian roulette with most indie devs. always that one that makes you hate life and never play indie games again, especially early access ones.

but you are right, if this game doesnt have mod support...it will be dead on arrival. though it is already on life support. someone give it an hp potion and a tome of intellect.
The level of delusion in the Steam discussions is outstanding. Do yourselves a favor and go to the game's Discord please.
lol ppl always demanding for f2p... f2p wouldnt solve the issue lool
The game would make a lot less money as F2P. If you have any hopes for the game getting mod support, you'd better pray that they sell enough copies on release.

The one thing that could prevent it from being quickly abandoned by the devs, like Pagan Online and Warhammer:Chaosbane were, is that this studio doesn't have any other games in development. so it's this or nothing.

It started as f2p and it didn't worked out and now it should go back to f2p? Wait a minute.

Also, Chaosbane wasn't abandoned. There's still stuff coming. Pagan is going the single-player route, when it re-releases.
I haven't played in about a week due to knowing a wipe is coming. So it's pointless for me to play. With that said, TL3 is rather shallow and empty as far as content, gear, mechanics, skills ect but honestly, In the 90 some odd hours I've played, there were times I had fun. I got my moneys worth, and while I hope the Devs can deepen the pool by a LOT, at this point.. I'm just whatever. Torchlight has never been my top ARPG. It probably held me the least of any ARPG but I do like the art style.
