Does Torchlight III support local co-op?

Can Torchlight III be played on the same PC with two-three gamepads simultaneously in a local co-op session without split-screen (e.g. Diablo III Console, Magicka II, Castle Crashers, Minecraft Dungeons)? Previous Torchlight games lacked this feature, so I wanted to ask before I buy. See no point to buy it if there is no local co-op cuz I play such games with my family on couch.
