Ruby back to BD. She still has the Electrode shield:

Character select between swaps. Ruby has Electrode, and poor Eisling has no relic at all. The BD is currently stashed in the manikin:

Finally, Eisling, in-game, showing she has no relic at all:

When you do this, the points you have put into other relics stay there, so the in-game skill point counter displays an incorrect total value (how many you should have minus the number of points you've put into other relics). It's completely possible to have, say, BD's shield, Electrode's amazing Chaotic Strikes, and FD's ultimate. I still need to test whether this works with passive skills, and if it works with other characters. However, the fact remains: you can switch relics.
The first time I've been happy a game has bad development.
