Bug?: Cannot cure Phost Malady
I tried curing a Fascinated Phost in Solomon's bed. I used the Sacrament Malachite, providing 6 nectar, and after the 3 minute timer... didn't cure it. Unfortunately I did this twice (forgot I had tried this the first time) and wasted two Sacraments I do not have the skills to replace, really don't love that.

Can't think of a reason this shouldn't have cure it, aspect was there, was allowed to be slotted. Maybe because the bed doesn't have Nectar? But the aspect was there so that shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not sure why it happened but I'll make it even worse for you: you didn't need to use those items at all. You need to provide 5 of the aspect total. The drink doesn't even have to have the aspect at all.

I believe the tooltip changes to "Cure my Phost" or something like that when it detects that you meet the requirements of the malady. If it didn't say that, then you didn't get the needed aspects correct. But if it lasted for 3 minutes, it sounds like you didn't accidentally just do a regular bed rest (1.5 minutes), so I'm not sure.

Does it require you to add a second healthy Soul card? I can't recall.

Oh I am well aware lol, but Nectar has been incredibly hard to come by, and I accidentally burned my phost by not making sure the book didn't have any...problems.

This is my second playthrough after a victory, I'm well versed in the mechanics at this point so I'm reasonably sure this was a bug and not player error; unfortunately, until I can find a bed that has Nectar (or scale would work) I'll have to wait and find out, otherwise no way I'll get that Nectar high enough.

Ok not entirely true, I might have other liquids but pretty sure only substances that would be useful at this point, and even if that's not the case don't really want to burn more liquid finding out if this is, in fact, a bug.

How much of the aspect did you need? I had a + soul afflicted at one point and I recall that I needed 7.

The maladies I've found needed 7 to be cured. I also cured them at desks. I don't think you have to do it in bed. Also did you make sure to use the right skill? If you did it right, the title of the popup will change to something like "remove malady"

If the title did change and it still didn't remove the malady then maybe it is a bug

Maladies on books need an appropriate skill and are removed at desks. Maladies on souls need a beverage and are cured in beds. You seem to be talking about the former; this thread is about the latter.

That's not a malady. That's a book that has a curse/contamination/debuff/etc.

The malady is the thing that happens to your soul if you try to catalog/read a book with the soul part that debuff affects. Maladies have to be cured at a bed.

@OP I was able to cure my Fascinated Phost with a Sacrament Malachite in the servant's quarters. I then reloaded, swapped beds to Solomon's and tried again. I was able to successfully cure it in Solomon's bed using the same steps you gave.

I cannot replicate the bug.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attempt to test the potential bug again until I can create a Sacrament Malachite, which looks like it will be some time; I'll probably leave the Phost fascinated just to test this out later (besides, a malady is very nice for re-reading books anyway so not a total loss).
