Been waiting for this to come out for a while and it's just as great as it looks especially if you have a group of friends, Hope the devs add even more maps and mutations

STAB STAB STAB is a pretty small game that you can learn in the span of a few minutes. You stab each other, you collect mutations, you impale yourself on spikes by accident a lot, and that's pretty much it. However, the way these mechanics are implemented is absolutely thrilling, with incredibly satisfying physics-based controls and plenty of fantastical weirdness.

The physics-based movement and attacks feel natural and intuitive in a way that makes the whole game fun. The standard controls are moving your body, turning your head, and stabbing in the direction you're facing. Jumping is a particularly interesting example of how the physics work; there's no button for it, just move your body upward to gain momentum until you leave the ground, optionally stabbing upward for a little extra boost. It becomes second nature very quickly, and is one of the things that really makes the game shine.

The multiplayer experience is similar to that of games like Starwhal and Gang Beasts. Very chaotic, very hilarious. Stabbing someone and pushing them into meat grinders is immensely satisfying, and is only made better by how often you fall in yourself while doing so. The noises in the game (fleshbird calls, stabbing, exploding, etc.) are quirky and add a lot to the experience. The physics-based nature of the game makes many things slightly unpredictable, but always in a way that was enjoyable, and never in a way that felt unfair. Mutations and a good variety of interesting obstacles on the map help to keep the gameplay from getting stale.

Survival mode is fascinating in its own right. If you're more into collaborative games or want to play solo, it offers a fascinating variation on the standard gameplay, where you fight weird amalgamations of fleshbird body parts. It starts out easy, pitting you against just a couple mismatched birds that are maybe missing a leg or are smaller than usual. But as you progress, the number of body parts crammed onto one creature increases. Each body still has the ability to survive on its own, so separating the mass into several chunks may just increase the number of individual spiky problems you need to deal with. Ultimately, slightly unsettling and incredibly fun.

Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys chaotic local multiplayer physics fun. It's a blast!

Really fun gameplay, Simple and easy to learn controls, and great graphics. If I could add one thing, I would want a team mode where the fleshbirds are separated into teams and made to fight the other team(s).

i think that there should be a option to turn of a certain mutation like personally i HATE the shooter mutation.Also this is a great game and i love it

I do really enjoy this game.But it sadly isn't online multiplayer.I'd give it a 7/10 stars, but it would definitely be a 10/10 if there were online multiplayer

Have to use Rewast to get it working with more than 4 controllers, but its fun. Wish it got updated!

i love stab stab stab so much

You play as fleshbirds and try to stab your friends with you beak! You can play with 7 other people locally or play alone with bots, and it's a lot of fun! The art style is weird and oddly charming, the controls feel good, and the game feels wonky in a really good way!

Nothing amazing, but it's a little local pvp game which is a lot of fun and the power-ups make things interesting!

An excellent local multiplayer game in the same vein as StarWhal.
Stab things, mutate, explode.
Environmental kills are the best.
