Resetting trap upgrades
Is there anyway to reallocate the skulls for upgrading traps?

Doesn't seem to me.
It does say "upgrading is permanent" when you improve traps.

Shame sometimes the description is vague, you get dissapointed in the update, and lost your skulls :/

I dunno about OMD1 but in OMD2 you can "cash in" all your skulls when in the 'trap-puchase' screen by hitting the button down the bottom of the screen.

Yeah, I remember it saying the decision was final, I guess i was hoping you could reset them once you completed the campaign. I stupidly wasted skulls upgrading that silly "dummy" trap.

I like the dummy... distracts gnolls. Leaving you to more pressing matters.
Why dislike the dummy?

I guess I can't honestly say I dislike it, I never used it, it just seemed too expensive for something that would eventually be destroyed. You have caused me to reconsider though.

How to reallocate your skulls: Start a new profile. Hope it helps =-P

Yeah, in the spell book there is a refund skulls option

Not in Part 1.

Yes, I see no option for refunding skulls in Orcs 1. I'll just have to try and make use of that dummy.

The only option is to start a new profile. However, I'd say that you can beat the game 5 skulls on normal fairly easily without buying a single upgrade. By that point you'll have every interesting upgrade and many you didn't care about.

Also the DLC will give more skulls. Nightmare will give more skulls. So you can upgrade quite a few...

Does anyone ever not use the steel weaver?

Dunno :(

Knowledge Weaver is an option if you want to maximize the income from spell kills (T2: Spell Magnification) and increase the damage of headshots (T1: Skull Anatomy) when you are killing the orcs yourself instead of using killbox. With the lightning strike ability on the rift (T3: Rift Sentience) you don't have to stress about getting every Kobold Runner.

Edit: Forgot to answer to the original question that don't stress too much about the updates, you can get 5 skulls even on Nightmare without the "key" upgrades. Just keep trying different traps and playstyles to improve your own play and trap setups.
