Any games similar to KOA?
I've been searching all over Steam for a good game to play like KOA but nothing is doing if for me. I LOVE the combat in the game but the lack of content and the some-what good story was only so much to handle ;_; So any suggestions? I saw this one game called Divine Cybermancy but IDK about downloading, it looks pretty sketchy but cool at the same time. What do you guys recommend?

You might want to check out Divinity 2. KOA is honestly better in my opinion (in nearly every department), but they're pretty similar.

I WOULD get Guild Wars 2 but my friend tells me the lack of end-game content is what ruined it for him. But when I have the cash or when Guild Wars 2 goes on sale I'll get it if I can.

What about Two Worlds series? Kinda enjoyed the first one and want to get the second one too. Gothic 4 is ok but not a good as KOA. Going to check out DC you mentioned OP cheers. EDIT ooh its EYE I tried the demo of this not solong ago its FPS/RPG hard like Stalker with Deus Ex kinda powers. I think its a game you have to invest sometime and thought into.
Yeah I wanna try EYE because it does look like a good game that you have to invest time into kind of like Stalker with a Deus Ex twist and if I do get it I saw it had co-op so if you have the game as well we could play co-op for a bit! :D I saw SSoHPKC play which is how I first heard of this game.

The Batman series is good not as much of an rpg to it but great combat and story. The there is always the witcher series and that is just great.

Definitely Guild Wars 2, fairly cheap on greenman at the moment. Don't worry about this "end game" stuff, play it as a single player game and do your race storylines. The level of exploration, quality of world design, gameplay and combat is second to none. The only way i could compare it to amalur combat wise is the flashy aesthetics and impactful moves and powers, but otherwise it's very mmo like, with auto targeting but with an arcade action feel. If you liked Amalur definitely pick this up, it's incredible. The sheer amount of times I simply stood there and took in the vistas or marvelled at the work that must have gone into it are too many to count. Angryjoe's review sold me on it, watch that.

Currently playing as an Asura guardian and having a ball with the little mario esque cartoon girl. Lots of fun to be had with the midgets, don't count them out!

Okay then but will Guild Wars 2 run on a mid-end PC? Because the one thing that always scared me about Guild Wars 2 is the fact that if my computer could handle it. It's a Vaio Laptop with an Intel Graphics card which I hear is very compatiable but also very weak compared to other cards. So will it run?

RPG-wise? not too many that i know of outside of skyrim and various MMOs.
action wise? DmC and devil may cry 4 for steam have kind of a similar combat theme, granted, that's not entirely true, but it depends, i don't think there are too many that are "exactly like" the game proper though, dark souls is more survival horror than anything....

the witcher series is way better than KOA or GW2 or anything similar, if you want something similar to KOA, then I'd suggest The Witcher 2, but you would have a hard time understanding the storyline so would also suggest start with The Witcher 1, trust me, you won't regret it.

Then there's people like me who tried both games and found them lacking a certain something..mainly, the professional touch. Don't get me wrong, Witcher 2 in particular is an amazing looking game, it plays well and the combat is decent, but when the developer goes out of their way to make the puzzles obtuse, the boss fights overly difficult and quests incredibly difficult to follow i have to question their design credentials. Having to guess what to do and try dozens of things just to progress isn't for me really.

Just the first boss fight alone was enough for me to rage quit several times and watch some youtube walkthrough of the guy nailing it first time, then i realised this was just the beginning of the eventual massive frustration the game was going to offer. The fight seemed so utterly random and even when i did exactly what the walkthrougher did, i still failed as the boss simply changed its routine on me. I knew then this is what the game was going to be and the comparitve cake walks of Skyrim and Amalur is where i belong. Don't even mention Darks Souls 2.

All that said, Witcher 3 looks incredible and it'll be a day 1 purchase !

the witcher series is incredibly famous for it's unfair gameplay, that's what makes video games awesome! remember games like mario, metroid and bionic commando? those were THE GAMES! and witcher 2's gameplay is beyond spectacular! I'm dying for the 3rd game but my pc will barely be able to run it due to it's cutting edge visuals. for me, witcher 1 & 2 are way better than KOA or TESV : Skyrim.... but not as good as TESIV : Oblivion
