Echoes of the Past Bug

Recently bought the game and so far I haven't run into any bug up until this quest. Anyways let's get to the point. After defending Ventrinio from the Laz I get this somewhat cutscene of the tower collapsing then a loading screen, but that's where the problem begins. After the loading screen I can see that I've been thrown back outside but my screen is black and when I look at my quest log it says I have not completed the quest.

Bump. Still looking for answers.

try to change settings, something is preventing the screen form clearing up.
(note that it takes a LITTLE bit to clear the screen, meanwhile you hear sounds and voices)
It is correct that you are thrown back outside, you will then talk with Alyn and Ventrinio again. You get a randevou poin while Ventrinio digs something out of the collapsed tower (updates to next quest)

I have tried changing the settings and turning everything off and putting it on the lowest detail possible. Also tried playing in windows mode with no luck.

At the moment I am running a new character to see if I will get the same result when I get to this quest. If all else fail I will try re-downloading the game.

use multiple saves, so you can rollback/restart quests and not loose too much play time

I am. I tried reloading those with the same character and always end up with the same result.
