Skyrim does have more replayabillity and mods, but Kingdoms of Amular will probably last longer if you rush the main quest, though I don't know for sure.
Skyrim is only good for mods. Without mods Skyrim would have nothing against this game.
Only get Skyrim if you're the type of person who loves to mod a lot and mess around with them.
If you don't plan on wasting bunch of time on mods then get Amalur.
Amalurs combat is better, its story is better (lets face it, ES games never had a good story), its lore is better, its NPCs actually have something interesting to say instead of: "Go there and kill this - Accept quest/Deny quest" - Yes, unlike in Skyrim, the NPCs actually have something to say.
Skyrim for fooling around. Amalur for a more immersive story
Skyrim takes a more realistic approach, and most combat is in first-person.
Kingdoms of Amalur is very fast-paced and is locked in third-person, also more breathtaking.
Either way, they're both high-fantasy, so you can expect to be stabbing and goring legendary bosses one way or another.
Skyrim has a play engine similiar to oblivion and fallout but better(i see these in your games list). with mods you can change every aspect of the game and the console allows you to do some very interesting things, not just cheating.
Downloaded without any additional changes KOA gets my vote. however because of the mods and variety of options you can get with Skyrim I would put my money on it. If possible and if you think you will enjoy both games scrape up the money for both as they are both great but really different. Both also come with flaws and bugs but could be the best fantasygames I have seen or played. either way you can't go wrong.
The way you level up in skyrim ruinated the whole game for me, the place it's set in is also so-so but thats how I feel about it. There are also must have mods for skyrim, for example a menu mod. The base game menus were clearly designed with console players in mind.
