Stash hex-edit for the loot collectors
If you enjoy collecting unique loot, this game has a ton! I currently have over 460 unique (purple/yellow) weapons, armor/armor sets, and accesories. You can hack the game for extra stash inventory as needed with the Cheat Engine--here's how. Save first in case you change the wrong value and mess something up.

Search as an Array of Bytes: ?? ?? ?? 7D 03 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00
(9B 00 00 00 is the stash size, ?? ?? ?? is the wildcard)

For me, the stash is the first result returned out of three search matches. Ignore any address past 6FFFFFFF. Change '9B 00 00 00' to 'E8 03 00 00' and you will have 1000 inventory slots in your stash. You have to do this each time you want to place anything in your stash when it's over 155 (default size). I currently have over 450 unique pieces of gear in my stash, so it works!

Any way to actually hex edit a save file to increase the limit rather than messing with the game via cheat engine?
Also after the first use of this later loads don't even find that array any more so yeah.

I keep trying this, but it just wont work for me.
Is there anything special I should be aware of when doing this? O.o

There does not seem to be any viable way to do this in Hex edit, the problem being that the number doesn't ever change, like the inventory value, so it's hard to find it...
Unless you after having edited your file (which you must have since the hack doesn't work any longer) would be able to pinpoint the exact value that has changed from the original number to the new (which is possibly the number of items you now have stashed).
If you could find that, it might prove useful... Maybe...

Nope I haven't edited the file, I've looked over it in a hex editor to see if it had any of the potential names near a line that would easily point it out as the storage but found nothing and closed it.

Guessing the "hack" itself causing the value to temporarily change made it end up saving as something else somehow...

is there any way to add stuff in your inventory with this, like quest items? im stuck on a quest where i need a guy to move 2 feet so i can get a key from him, but he is behind an un-openable door with no exits to the room.

Huh that seems a bit odd, you tried resting somewhere far from him to try force any cached scripts to be lost?
Also you're sure he's meant to be able to be reached at that point in time? Some quests I'm pretty sure can't be finished til a fair while after you've picked them up.

Reviving old thread to update - array search of "?? ?? ?? 7D 03 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00" will be a hit or miss since the hex following the 7 may change. Search for "?? ?? ?? 7? 03 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00" has brought me better results. Note that this isn't permanent.

Search for "?? ?? ?? ?? 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ??" may also work (worked once for me).

Remember to ignore any search results with addresses after 6FFFFFFF.

FYI, executable is file ver 1.0.0.2

Or you could store all of your items in the shop-keep at the Klurikon home... For simple people like me, who don't understand how to hex and all that jazz.

I found it at 0C8A92DC... and it had 7E instead of 7D before it.

But since I couldn't get the search to handle wildcards for some reason, I got the decimal value for the 03 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00 .... which turned out to be 665719930883.
I did an 8 Byte scan for that on the CheatEngine main screen and it turned up 28 results. I cut that down to 21 by removing the ones that changed after moving around or zoning... then removed the ones over 6FFFFFFF. That left 8 results to try.

I copied the second half of all 8 results (via memory view) to the address list, then just changed all of them to different values. I looked at the stash and saw it had changed to 300, then kept the address that was set to 300. Simple.

Stash now increased to 3000.

necroing but this method works well without the need to search for wildcards, the game keeps jumping between the addresses in order to alter the stash size but it ain't permanent, i tried editing all 8 values before 6FFFFF but on save reload it reverted back to 155, also searching for said value stops working if you reload the game too many times and you need to close and reopen the game in order to find it again, it's always 21 values at first time you search.

you can change the addresses to 42950719930883 and you get 10.000 stash size.

will try this method on re-reckoning later.
