Also after the first use of this later loads don't even find that array any more so yeah.
Is there anything special I should be aware of when doing this? O.o
There does not seem to be any viable way to do this in Hex edit, the problem being that the number doesn't ever change, like the inventory value, so it's hard to find it...
Unless you after having edited your file (which you must have since the hack doesn't work any longer) would be able to pinpoint the exact value that has changed from the original number to the new (which is possibly the number of items you now have stashed).
If you could find that, it might prove useful... Maybe...
Nope I haven't edited the file, I've looked over it in a hex editor to see if it had any of the potential names near a line that would easily point it out as the storage but found nothing and closed it.
Guessing the "hack" itself causing the value to temporarily change made it end up saving as something else somehow...
Also you're sure he's meant to be able to be reached at that point in time? Some quests I'm pretty sure can't be finished til a fair while after you've picked them up.
Search for "?? ?? ?? ?? 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ??" may also work (worked once for me).
Remember to ignore any search results with addresses after 6FFFFFFF.
FYI, executable is file ver 1.0.0.2
But since I couldn't get the search to handle wildcards for some reason, I got the decimal value for the 03 00 00 00 9B 00 00 00 .... which turned out to be 665719930883.
I did an 8 Byte scan for that on the CheatEngine main screen and it turned up 28 results. I cut that down to 21 by removing the ones that changed after moving around or zoning... then removed the ones over 6FFFFFFF. That left 8 results to try.
I copied the second half of all 8 results (via memory view) to the address list, then just changed all of them to different values. I looked at the stash and saw it had changed to 300, then kept the address that was set to 300. Simple.
Stash now increased to 3000.
you can change the addresses to 42950719930883 and you get 10.000 stash size.
will try this method on re-reckoning later.
