I can´t save the game
Hello,
I have a problem with saving the game.
I bought the game in the summersale + dlcs and after a view hours of playing i recognized the save button in the menu is grey.
When i change the autosave settings to autosave "on" the game tells me it can´t save because i´m using a guest profile.
I logged in with my ea account as the text told me to do and it said it was succesfull.
Feels like i got the demo version or something like that but i bought this for 10 € so it´s kinda sad.

Any ideas how to solve this problem ?

I wrote a mail to the support
They said i would get an answer within 14 days via a automatic message, i will post it here if i receive anything.
Maybe they will respond if many people have that problem.

it does sound like you are running the demo version. go to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\KOAReckoning and look at the properties of Reckoning.exe.
mine works and it says file version 1.0.0.2 (sry I dont know what the demo version might say). if yours says 1.0.0.2 then double click that Reckoning.exe and see if it works.

It says, that it is the file version 1.0.0.2. I also tried to run the game-exe with the administrator-mod but it still wont let me save...

all my Reckoning saves are in
Steam\userdata\xxxxx\102500\remote
where xxxxx is some unique number assigned to an account.
check directories 102500 and remote and make sure they are not read only and your account can write into them

option 2 - if steam cloud saves is turned on for this game, then turn it off. if its off, turn it on.
Im guessing because of the two accounts (guest and your ea account), the game doesnt
have permission to write saves

then try running KOAR again and see if save button works.

@cheshirm
To option 1: There is not existing an folder named 102500 in the location you described. I assume that it is not existing because I just can't save.

To option 2: Tried it. Still can't use the save-option.

Did you find a solution to this?

10 years later. ran the game on win 7 10 and now 11 and two desktops.

game STILL saves to the same folder
...\steam\userdata\yourUniqueSteamID\102500\remote

check windows event viewer and also windows reliability history.
might be an error msg.

without an error msg, folder permission issues would seem to be the cause.
the game cannot create folders/write files in the steam folder.

maybe try running steam with admin permission then the game.
maybe try running the game from the steam game folder with admin permission.

I have steam on C: drive and the game on D: drive. saving works.
