Xbox One Controller Problems
I have had no issues with this game whatsoever using the Xbox 360 controller, but when I tried to use the Xbox One controller, the game started stuttering after a few minutes, with the sound cutting out, and the game ultimately dropping to around 5 FPS.

As soon as the game started doing this, I plugged in the 360 controller again and everything was fine. It's probably a driver issue with the controller, but it just seems odd that dozens of other games work fine with the One controller but this game does not.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

While my game was re-installing I was reading if it had controller support. Someone had said that in some cases keyboard/mouse can cause conflicts because the game is constantly switching between the two control methods or something. You could try unplugging keyboard and mouse when the game is running to see if that helps?

Only thing is if you use widescreen fixer for the FoV you might need to plug the keyboard back in now and then. My FoV sometimes resets after a jump point, but not very often.

Also same problems here. Had lots of audio lag, controller being irresponsive and lots of weird things. After reading this post, exited the game, switched back to my old Xbox360 controller and everything ran smooth as it should be.
Thanks

I just installed & was using the XBO Controller as well, I'm getting Audio popping the whole time. I'm going to use no controller and see what happens.

My advice is to unplug the controller before starting the game. Had issues even when using keyboard and controller still connected.

My audio issues cleared up after turning the game off unplugging my XBOController and starting it back up.

I've been trying to figure out what this problem was since last night. Thanks for this thread.

Unplugged the XB1 controller and plugged back in my 360 wired pad and everything is now working perfectly.

Same problem for me, 360 controller works just fine. It took a while to work out though because my friend has no problems at all with his xbone pad.

I am having the same exact problem. Audio stuttering and lag that gets worse the longer you keep the Xbox One controller in. Once I remove it or try to use a different controller (I have a PS4 and PS3 controller with xinput emulation) it runs just fine. No idea how to fix it and nothing I can find on the internet that is particularly helpful.

Is a bit older here, but here is a solution . Use the Xbox One controller port in the usb 3.0. It works well . Have fun

I'll give this a shot. Thanks for the suggestion.

I actually stopped playing this game as a result of not being able to use the xb one pad so I'm hoping this works!

Hi! The first: sorry for my bad english. The oficial driver for Xbox One is not compatible or not full compatible with this game. A lot of problems: decrase the fps, broken sounds...
But you can play with this pad using another driver thanks to Lucas Assis.
Follow the next link for see his video:

I can play now with Xbox one pad perfectly. Enjoy!

I don't understand it, but I have found a workaround for the Xbox One controller performance issue: in-game, once the performance drops (note: I only see fps drops, no audio issues), simply disconnect the controller, watch the fps rise and stabilize, and reconnect the controller. Stupid, but it works. :monsoon::monsoon:

I had the same problem and found the solution, well, for me at least. What I did was I connected the controller to a USB Bus (USB 2.0) and that Bus was connected to a USB 3.0 slot. I had stuttering before but now it's all fine now!
