Alchemy ingredients take up inventory space
Other crafting materials are neatly stashed away in the endless bag of holding.
So whats up ?
Our hero likes the smell of roses or something ?

They don't in my current game. Potions do take up space, but not any of the herbs. Must be a bug of some kind. Try quick-saving, then loading the quick-save.

Hmm...found out that i have ton of "items", not sure what exactly was taking up space, whether it was the bones or skulls or books.

Tested that ingredients indeed do not take up space, but they are thrown in the "consumables" group, thats annoying.

Books, bones and potions are the worst problem that I have. Potions only stack to x10, then they take up a second slot. If you finish the Canneroc side-quest, you'll get a house with a chest (150 item limit) you can use to dump excess stuff that you don't want to destroy.

Quest books(Til's 10-set collection) don't count in the inventory limit, but I'm pretty sure every other book does.

Potions are the thing that will take up inventory quickly with it only stacking up 10 per slot and with the huge variety of potions from hidden objects and chests. Currently doing a playthrough and have roughly 75 Master healing potions and 100 Greater healing potions in my stash.

I find that healing pots are too OP anyway and just sell them.
If i am running low on pots i just craft 10 and leave.

All the various buff pots doe, damn.

Have you played the Teeth of Naros DLC? Don't go into the final boss without at least 5 health potions. The way the boss battle plays out, fate-shifting doesn't really work (unless you have fate potions and can do it four times in a row).
