In my opinion it is quite good.
I get the story in the beginning as well as the combat and general gameplay.
I also see the ui and the graphics in the first hour.
Enough to rate a game.
Won't waste any more lifetime on this when I just can play witcher 3 instead.
The game is not for everyone, lot of people enjoy it though.
Some points he got so wrong: combat = KoA has one of the best combat system I have ever tested (personaly think it´s better than the combat system in witcher 3), there is no magic card trading game in this the game, the game supports 1920x1080 (I use that resolution so I know) and how many games starts with a dark elf killing people with a glowing sword?
Would say this is the best RPG I have ever played.
I pity you if you think it's the best rpg ever and everyone who buys this game based on opinions and reviews of people like you.
Tell me exactly how the combat is not hack n slay like darksiders, god of war, fable, divinity etc.
You want good real time combat? Try dark souls, chivalry, mount and blade.
Oh, and pls learn english.
Normally don't stoop to being a grammar Nazi, but if you're going to throw English language usage criticism around, you d*mn well better demonstrate good English skills yourself.
I'm sorry you didn't like the game, I really enjoy it - especially the combat. The graphics are dated by now, but don't detract from the game for me. Character customization - Do you mean the leveling, or the character equipment? Because the crafting system is one of the deepest and most varied I've ever encountered. The leveling has several different skills and "fates" that change how the game is played. The detailed lore of the game is fantastic, but it is a bit of a grind to uncover it all. The game is more than a little grindy-y, that's for sure, but I still find it a fun adventure.
Sounds like the game might not have installed correctly. The game fully supports 1920x1080, and I have also played it in 2560x1440. Both worked flawlessly.
Did you just purchase the game? You're under the 2-hour time-played limit, so you might be able to get a refund.
(that limit is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ btw)
And I don't mean the leveling system if I talk about character customization.
I talk about character creation.
Every single rpg I played had better character creation and customization.
This game is a hack n slay action rpg and looks and feels like WoW.
Stupid fetch quests, bland npc's, cliché story. Absolutely generic, like Two Worlds, Oblivion, Bound by Flame, Divinity 2 etc. etc.
I don't play singleplayer mmo's.
I don't even play normal mmo's.
Please stop advertising this game as a revelation of the RPG genre, because it's clearly not.
If you're referring to user reviews, well, those are personal opinions. Much like yours.
But the difference is that the user reviews s*ck.
Filthy casuals who can't tell a good rpg if it sits in front of their face.
Easy combat, easy game, easy story, easy character creation and some colorful graphics like a cartoon so the audience does not have to think to much.
Give me my money back.
I didn't play this sh*t for over 2 hours.
You clearly have a burr up your *ss about something. Denigrating other gamers as "filthy casuals" won't help anyone take you seriously. This entire thread is now looking like a troll post.
I don't care, I want a refund.
KoA unlike the Elder of Scroll saga, takes a more cartoony approach to fantasy rpg's but like the game Borderlands it wouldn't have the same feel that the developers would want if you per say made it look ultra realistic.
As a gamer and a lover of fantasy based RPG's I can stand behind KoA and say that I have never played a game like it before, I feel it brought a rather interesting twist to fantasy based RPG's and I truly love it for that!
All in all I'm really sorry to hear that you didn't get that same experience from KoA like I did, but hey live and learn am I right. KoA isn't your thing, lesson learned. Hope the next game you try out turns out to be more suitable to your liking. Also, personally I never really buy a game without being absolutely certain I'll enjoy it. So don't be afraid to look up some reviews on YouTube or see some gameplay to give you a better idea!
Take care and Game ON!
Bah, how I hate friendly people.
