I guess the reason for that is that most bonuses are multiplicative and you would notice those crazy numbers that appear. but really this game just needs two stats: enough and not enough
if you take to much damage, increase resitance, if you don't crit enough, increase crit chance, etc. doesn't really hurt in this game, because any build is somehow viable, with some just being tremendously overpowered^^
That is one of the features I like in games like Titan Quest & Sacred etc.
