Set Waypoints map function

I notice on some vids that players have a Set Waypoints function on the world and local maps.
But I do not have that on my pc version.
Is that only on consoles?

i think its jsut right clicking the map , i could place red cross on my map this way.

That's right. But only on named places.
Would be good to be able to make notes at any explored point.

It doesn't have to be a named place, it can also be a questmark on the map in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't have to be your active quest either, it just has to be on the map in local map view.
