Online Ability Calculator v2
Years ago, 38watch hosted an ability calculator, originally made by Bossner. You can still access the original calculator from wayback archive:
http://web.archive.org/web/20140413215125/http://www.38watch.com:80/calculator/#0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

I now host a new improved version of the calculator on Amalur Sanctum:
http://amalursanctum.free.fr/index.php/misc/online-tools/abcalc

Below are the improvements I made over the initial calculator.

***************
CHANGELOG
***************

Layout adjustments:
- Merged the 2 border img and ajusted css so that separate img for IE and Chrome are not needed anymore
- Grid is now centered vertically (no more scrolling on widescreen resolutions)
- Mouse pointer now only changes into a hand when hovering an ability instead of doing so when hovering the whole ability grid
- Ability icons realigned to better fit the grid and tier levels
- Minor color adjustements
- Changed popup window position and prevent it from going outside of top borders
- Changed tab pics for ability trees

Data:
- Corrected various wrong values
- Corrected many typo and ability descriptions to match the ones displayed in game
- Added additional ranks and descriptions for abilities beyond their maximum levels
- Display ranks for abilities not meeting requirements
- Added ability types (active, passive, sustained, upgrade, weapon attacks)
- Added cooldown for all active abilities
- Added HP/MP counters with values adjusted according to the ability points invested

New functions:
- Added a +x to Might/Finesse/Sorcery function to simulate items that come with these enchantments, this is the blue + icon next to each tree name (right click on it to substract the points)
- Hold Shift + Lclick on an ability to max it (if having enough remaining points)
- Hold shift + right click on an ability to remove all its points when applicable (ability points are reduced to match minimum requirements otherwise)

Misc:
- Corrected a bug where putting all 123 points in might doesn't update the tree correctly

***************
USAGE
***************

The large pane on the left displays an ability tree with all its abilities. You can switch the current tree by selecting the corresponding tab on the top of the pane. You can invest a total of 123 points, which lets you max a single tree, just like in the regular game,

- Lclick on an ability to increase its level by 1 point. Ability levels are displayed in green, bottom-right of their respective icons. Abilities which have reached their maximum level will have their values displayed in yellow.

- Shift + Lclick on an ability to automatically max it (provided there's enough points remaining)

- Rclick on an ability to decrease its level by 1 point. You can't substract the last point of an ability which is also a prerequisite of another invested ability. It's also not possible to substract points from an Ability if that makes the tree level falls below the minimum level required for the highest tier Ability invested.

- Shift + RClick on an ability to remove all its points when applicable. Otherwise, the ability level will be reduced to the lowest value matching the minimum requirements.

The right pane displays information about the level required for the points invested, your base current HP and MP, the total points spent, and the points spent for each of the trees.

- Lclick on the red cross right after the point spents value to reset the build completely.

- Lclick on a red cross near right after an ability tree to reset all points invested in the respective tree.

- Lclick on a blue cross right after an ability tree to add 1 bonus point to all unlocked abilities of the tree. This also allows abilities to go beyond their maximum values. Most of the abilities can exceed their maximum levels by 2 points (ultimate level). A few abilities can only exceed their maximum level by 1 point while all the weapon technique abilities can not go beyond their maximum levels at all.
The augmented values appear in blue enclosed in parentheses, right of the points invested. They'll become Cyan for abilities that have reached their ultimate levels.

- Rclick on a blue cross to decrease the respective bonus level by 1 point.

Shift key can also be used on the blue crosses.

Since the calculator is hosted online, you can save builds by copying the full url once you've invested your points. To publish a build, just link the respective url. For ex, here's my favorite build:
http://amalursanctum.free.fr/index.php/misc/online-tools/abcalc/#0001300000000000000000000100561606301541105512050001006160550555100551055000222

The +2 to all abilities can be easily obtained from twists of fate and unique items like the Thresh's Seal amulet

If you have any question or suggestion, feel free to leave a reply. Hopefully, I'll soon add more cool stuff like that. I have a few ideas in mind. ^^

I've been using your calcs for years, and never thought to say thanks. Thank you, I've spent countless hours using your calcs to dream up and test different builds.

3 years and a month later, would there be any slim chance of updating this calculator to the new level cap of 50 from Fatesworn?

Also wanted to say thanks for making this, I've been using it for a long time. Really appreciate it!

iirc OP has stated he moved on with his life. He made the choice not to update the calculator any further. It wouldn't be too hard for someone who knew how to use his to recreate a new one, and I doubt he'd care considering the version up is the work of multiple people who did pretty much that.
