Quest: scattered fragments - can't find the northern-coast piece

i have 1 map finished in my inventory already, questgiver wants me to get more.
What i also have is 2 pieces of every other map piece except the northern-coast piece. So i have scuttle beach, jawbone and cape solace but when i go into the mudhold fasting and i jump down the lodge, there is no chest below.
Has someone experienced this before, what can i do to finish this quest ?
