You can also focus on weapon capabilities and combinations, I did that with a finess character. There are so many styles that I do not even know what is best. That is part of what makes this game fun to replay from time to time.
SKILLS:
Alchemy ----------- do i need this?
Blacksmithing ---- can i make a better weapon than looting them/farming them?
Detect Hidden --- i dont need glasses, should i use this. im not blind XD
Dispelling --------- when your too lazy to lockpick u use magic XD
Lockpicking ------ i still dont actually know how it really works but i opened every chest i found
Merchantile ------ MOOOOOONEY! do u really need lots of it?
Persuation ------- 95% can fail :facepalm"
Sagecraft --------- ??? for late game???
Stealth ------------- should i use stealth? will i able to use it often?
uhh...

A kind of fun side game is to attempt to bring all the skills to the highest level (maybe when doing a replay later). To do that (without selecting "Jack of all Trades" which adds 3 to each) requires efficient use of trainers and selections at level-up so as not to waste any trainers or books. This will bring you up to all but 2 single levels of a skill with the main game, and the Dead Kel DLC can fill in those two (with one to spare - it adds potentially 3 master level single skill levels). This sort of mini-game within the main game requires a balance of thoroughly finding all trainers along the way but also forging forth to new areas quickly enough so level-ups do not cause you to waste trainers you would have otherwise taken advantage of if you had found them more quickly. Wasting a trainer means your skill in that trainer's expertise is at too high a level to take advantage of his or her services at the time you find that trainer. This mini-game also requires you to have plenty of money available for trainers, since their services are not cheap, expecially early in the game.
"There's pretty important note missing. If you have plenty of levels and want to use high-level trainers and books first, just to don't miss or forget it later... Be extremely carefull. Because if, for example, if you have +2 racial bonus and you use book or med- or high-level trainer - you will lose point because of one or more of low-level trainers will be unavaiable. Learned that lesson hard way :C"
i dont get this XD
is this guide accurate?

As far as finishing, make a note of master skill increases available in Dead Kel and make certain that after using all trainers and books in the main game that you only need 2 or 3 of the 3 provided by that DLC in order to max all.
If you want to push it, like using some books earlier rather than later then it might serve you well to create a simple chart on a piece of paper to keep track of trainers visited, books found and books used.
As far as maxing lorestones, if exploring everywhere does not do it then be patient. When you reach the top level of "Detect Hidden" that will make them appear on the map. If you are also maxing skills then you will not come across the top level in that until later, but at that time, once it is eventually maxed, you can use the ability to rapidly dust off any lorestones you missed along the way.
im gonna make a new save, stealth is kinda useless early game
im planning to level alchemy then merchantile, how much pts should i put in alchemy 2 or 3? should i max the merchantile basic, 4pts?
so i tried to reset my fate, i was a rogue and cant pick it again? why?
To take advantage of trainers, do not put more than two skill increases at level-up in anything, minus any you start with. Once you have put two in a skill at level-up or what you started with then stop putting points in that skill at level up have met and trained with two low level trainers in a skill. Once you are level 4 in a skill because you used two low level trainers and got two more from startup and/or level-up, then make sure to use the mid-level trainer for one of those in the mid-range. Once the mid-range of a skill is complete, if it is one of the skills available in the Dead Kel DLC you intend to use then put none in the master level at level-up because the two master level trainers and the book for that skill will top it off. You can take your level-up increases, just do not take more than two in any skill at level-up and/or startup until you have taken advantage of both low level trainers, etc. For a skill you start with at level 2 already do not put any points at level-up into that skill until you have found and used both low level trainers. It sounds more complicated than it is.
yeah its really complicated XD(thats why i didnt use any points on my test run character) haha
the DLC trainer, i'll only get them when i finish the story. i havent bought DLC yet XD
Bsic skill lvl1-4
Advance Skill lvl5-7
Master Skill lvl8-10
so what i need to do is put 2pts of level up in skills then use 2x trainers of that skill to max the basic to lvl4.
on advance skill
i just need to use 1x trainer in a skill? then i need to put 2level up pts to it to max advance skill?
on master skill
how many trainers? and DLC? books is last used here, right?
whats the name of the books? i dont usually pick up books XD if i pick up one might have sold it XD
You can use the books at any time but I find that I need those non-trainer spots at the basic and advance skill levels for level-ups and so I save them. Be careful if you use the book for a skill before master level, that you do not do so in a way that causes you to lose the benefit of one othe trainers... and you will probably need to keep a record then since you will not find all of the books at once (vendors do not sell them), and there is only one book per skill in the game universe. I just put the books I find in the stash until I have them all and finish advance level for each skill. Doing that means the ones I have in stash are the record and I do not need a paper record as well.
The main game has one trainer in each skill at the master level. If you do not have the DLC (and do not select an ability path leading to "Jack of all Trades") and take full advantage of all trainers in the main game then two of your skills will have 9 instead of 10. Good candidates for that are merchantile and lockpicking with no particular reason to reach 10.
You can look up book locations online but I would recommend just being thorough first time through the game (and not worrying about maxing anything either). It is possible that if you miss a book, in some cases, you will not be able to go back and get it later. There are also one or two bugs relating to books... but I have never run into any of that. Some books are not always in the same place or gotten the same way, from game to game.
im planning to do all quest, how many hours would it take to finish the game?
(this game can be speedrun right?)
i cant even buy the first bag at early game or buy a trainer XD
then again, i didnt even put any skill pts on my test run save game, i think i can beat the game without putting any skills and abilities XD
About playing without skills or abilities... again, do what is fun. Without sufficient detect hidden, however, there are places in the game you will never reach. Without sufficient stealth there are some quests you probably cannot do. Without sufficient persuasion there are dialog options that are unavailable. Without abilities... good luck in the tougher battles.
