But as far as i can recall, you'll need to reach the Keep (guarded by undead) early and make your way towards the enemy stronghold up north.
During that time you will "suddenly" be joined by your other clan lord whom will also bring reinforcements.
Prior to that phase i suggest you to invest 1 or 2 upgrades depending on preference.
I chose to build tier 3 units in order to rush forward towards the goal (well before turn 45)..
You do best to move around the map if you have plenty of time left in order to pick up weapons, gear etc in order to challenge and beat the main enemy boss (he's quite hard to beat)..
That's what i did anyway... Hope it helps?
For Vlad spec him into a tanky beast: Blood Barrier for the Lord, Lifesteal for 4 turns, Blood Storm heals for half the damage dealt. You'll also want to spec Blood Lust for damage, but you won't be using that unit the final boss when you make your ranged magical assault against him. Vlad is the ultimate lure for enemy units and can nearly solo most armies so long as you time his spell cards well.
With that strategy you can beat the final boss by the time the back up Lord arrives on Turn 14.
when a random army spawns reload the autosave from that turn and they don't spawn.
the only time they stay is if they spawn on a "year" tickover.
other than that load up on werewolves and maybe 2 or 3 awakened magus.
