There could be though. At least make people understand why it takes so long and why it is so uncertain. I don't mind waiting if there's a good reason for it.
The issue that most ppl have is:
-Full release trailer announced, with a release date.
-Short notice given with another release date and delay
-Another delay and all of a sudden the game is far from finished.
How can it be so close to being finished when you guys suddenly go radio silent for 4 months. At least tell ppl what you're working on, let the community be part of the development process so they know what they're waiting for. I don't get how some devs can ignore their communities so much. You guys want to make money, so you need a community of ppl that are willing to buy your games.
Many don't even know that you keep replying in the forums and many ppl gave up on you. It's a shame that after so many years of experience you can't get communications right...
You said it perfectly. This is exactly what I complained before in another discussion: they aren't being transparent with the community. It makes 0 sense that the first delay was justified saying "some minor things" and now 5 months after we still with no news.
It's sad the DEV's are the ones killing the game/community interest for the game. Would beas easy as release an honest game status and give a real date
Yeh well it's their choice in the end. They got another game coming out this month, early access as well. Doubt ppl who know what's going on with Second Extinction are gonna give them any money for the next title that will be abandoned.
Not trying to ♥♥♥♥ on them because i actually liked what i've played of SE. But if you do business like this...a shame. Maybe finish 1 game first, then work on the next one.
lasy Devs
Wrong on both counts.
