As far as sending the message, this dev is aware of and open to interest from the linux community, but I can absolutely see the sense behind getting the game working as intended and squashing as many bugs as possible before juggling two distribution builds especially for a platform and market they may or may not be familiar with. From a dev point of view "native build or no sale" may not be worth the time and hassle of accommodating a demand with that tone. I'd rather demonstrate interest and potential profit from our community rather than threaten a devs bottom line. I also prefer not to limit my own options for gaming. Protondb exists to make that an informed choice.
As it stands now, I can only confirm it works fine via proton and in my opinion this is unlikely to change. Options are good, even unofficial ones.
The way linux gaming community can be considered sometimes can bring people - me included - to be more upset than they should. Or look more upset than they are. In this case i'm absolutely not, so sorry i f i looked like that.
Have you had any more thoughts on Linux support? :)
Once the game is closer to full release, I think there will be more time to look into other platforms.
