Cannot actually activate

As the title says, I bought the game, and now it needs some fiddly crap. Fine. Auto activate - doesn't work. Also fine. "Manual activation" - go to a website that DOESN'T EXIST.

So, I'm wondering.... What am I supposed to do in this situation?

Edit: I should also point out that the "help" button...... Opens a website that doesn't exist.

Do what I did go to the game page, scroll down and report the game on steam somewhere on the right. They will fix it if we all report it.

I have already played this game several times but actually it looks like I can't play it anymore, same problem :O

UPDATE: it looks like Steam assistance can't help us either. They said to me to send an email to Akella, and when I explained that they are our of business thay said "Send it anyway and wait for an answer".

So..... I've got a workaround. There's a mod that fixes several things on ModDB, so that helps with the game itself.
However, there's also a very specific patch that had been shared around RWS' forums, and using it fixes this issue.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if the other would violate ToS. So, maybe, if one was curious about it, they'd put into Google or Bing or somesuch, something like "Postal 3 no DRM" and MAYBE they'd find some file that went around Running With Scissors' forums. Maybe. It's a possibility.

Sadly it seems theres nothing anyone can do... The drn servers went down so nobody can activate it, Akella went out of buisness and they are the only ones that could update this game. NoDRM patch is the only thing you can actually do about it sadly

What's the problem with using the patch tho? Does it somehow hinder the experience?

I hope nothing, about to find out.. I literally bought a physical copy (STILL HAVE IT IN MY HANDS) of this crap, it BETTER work, one way or ANOTHER.

Ok the game still functions from my physical install, thanks to the community, NOT anyone else involved.

It actually can be activated again, you just have to go to an updated link
