cd key is wrong...

my computer is windows 8 or 8.1, postal3 won't start up it keeps coming up with an error that says Internal error (error code: 0xE2003053). Close all applications and try again.
If this does not help, press "Error report" and send the report to product customer support. So i think that it has to be that I have to activate the game with the cd key my cd key is:MP-VFE433-2A786B-87WP8Z-VFR4B6, I type it in to activate postal 3 and it clames that my cd key is invalid.

Im getting avctivation errors now, after palying for months, uninatalling and then re-installing the game. It won't let me run it now. < < <What is wrong with steam?

It's ok, this post is years old, I've played it after they got rid of the cd key thing I think, postal 3 is just hilariously awful to me.

They didn't have access to the game or the source code in English, the Russian publishers or whatever stole the game from RWS

Im not the best with computers n stuff so this might be a dumb question, but how do I use the zip to bypass the inability to activate the game? Im on windows 11 if that gives some info.

Not too sure, I just upgraded to windows 10 fairly recently and getting older games to work is hard enough as it is, usually the hard copies, some of them just work, others don't so you have to get the digital versions, and then mess around to get them in widescreen and a fixed framerate (some old games if the framerate is too high it breaks the game)

So should I assume trying to start up P3 is a lost cause? I got this copy from the krotchy coupon in the postal xx disk (sorry if my reply is formatted weird, ive never used steam discussions before)

look, it's a terrible game anyways, everyone who thinks duke nukem forever is really bad (oh it's bad buuuutt) has never played postal 3, if you want to know, watch tehsnakerer's video, or Civvie 11's video on it, it's one of the worst games I've played.
