I guess we're not just talking about gear color here then.
Perhaps you can define what specifically about the graphics style feels 'woke' to you so the developer can avoid that, if they choose to do so.
Also please don't bring your personnel hang ups.
This place is too nice to turn into whats happened to other forums on Steam.
In the first cyber knights game - the dirty and rusty graphical style was really good, but it was 2D. Here I think it was necessary to move in the same direction, because visuals have a big impact on the player's gaming experience. Perhaps the choice of more colorful graphics was made with the emphasis on the fact that this style of graphics will reach a larger audience, but I think it was a mistake. Although I'm sure many people will appreciate the gameplay and like it.
The neon's kind of a thing, man.
Must be the short blue hair options.
OP, don't be a Gonk. Cyberpunk has always been about being progressive and self-determined and surviving in the face of extreme systemic oppression. It's right in the name -- they don't call it "punk" because it's a conservative wonderland.
I think you need to find a different genre if menus and colors are harming your sensibilities before you even get into actual genere tropes.
Just read your reviews. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I never played the first Cyber Knights game but given the pictures have characters in bright red, bright green clothing and fixers/contracts in a plethora of skin/hair/clothing colors (whichever your issue is with) I'm not sure how this can seem like a big change.
Everything you wrote is understandable, but I'm not talking about neon, multicolored hair, etc, all of that should be there. I'm talking about modeling, portraits, environment design, etc.
