With the background you chose you're also well setup to multi-class into a melee class - you can go Cybersword without an implant, and can respec out of it once you've built a SimStream Trainer room in your base. Vanguard or Agent Ex would be stealthy melee options, but require cyberware to multi-class into.
I'd recommend to stick with mostly the left branch of the Cyber Knight tree while you get to know the game and figure out how to melee effectively, Once you got that Trainer, you can experiment a bit.
1) wait until the enemy has moved, then take your turn
2) BONUS: use Silence/White Noise/Lightfoot/Glitch to approach unnoticed to get the accuracy bonus from surprised
2a) ALTERNATIVE: use Lure/Shadow/make a bit of noise to lure your victim to where you can easily get to them
3) ideally have enough damage to one-shot, if it doesn't look like it will maybe use a charge
4) if you have good initiative you can wait right behind your target for the next turn
5) either way, 4 AP is basically a guaranteed kill for a mook
6) Vanguard's Overdrive is useful here - missed your first hit? Have a bonus AP
7) You can also forego stealth and just run at the enemy, but losing surprised hurts a lot.
7a) It's possible to run behind a guard as they are turning towards the noise of your sprint and end up unseen, but that's finicky. Helps with you have a lowered move detection radius, have snuck up right up to the range where they'd hear you sneaking, and have good moeve speed. Nive if it works, but not something to rely on.
8) For a build, you want enough STR and/or a good enough weapon to reliably one-shot basic goons and as much REA as you can get, for initiative and move speed.

Limit break stats into Reaction and Strength, uses mostly melee, very useful to have an Agent Ex provide White Noise to be able to run up to enemies without them hearing.
Thanks for sharing a specific build string, really helpful!
@dukeworthington - you can copy that string, open your Knight's class tree, then Import/Export and paste it in. This will assign the build as your auto-build and you can just train what @jotwebe trained while you get used to the game.
