Can you hit F10 and we can take a look at the exact screen and game log. We will fix it there is a bug or can better advise what to do.
Done. As requested in Discord. ty for looking into this and explaining it. maybe it's just ui confusion on my part.
The Devs say otherwise. Discussed in discord, and the wording indicates that what you are saying is incorrect. The UI also doesn't support what you're saying. Contacts are the one's who sell me stuff. The favor tooltip and text says this favor is worth $X thousands in "purchasing power." That would mean, resonably, to merchandise she sells.
So if you're right, they would need to significantly clear up the text in the game.
Well then they shouldn't be noted as cash, but their own denomination then.
But they aren't worth cash value, only that cash value to THAT contact who only sells certain things anyway. Makes perfect sense to me. It's limited to certain types of merchandise. In this particular case, only lvl 1 medical stuff, so REALLY limited...
And if I sell that stuff off it's at 1/6th or less the value I paid.
Another method I thought about, but dont know how and if to implement it, would be that banking favour with contacts slowly increases (in case of favours) or decreases (in case of obligations their trust. Maybe like "For every favour/obligation you get +/- 1 to trust for every ingame month you know that contact." Makes kind of sense to me. If they owe you a favour it shows that you trust them enough to at some point hold up their part of the bargain, and will probably help them accordingly because when they get killed/ pushed into hiding you will loose out, while when you owe them an obligation you have to earn their trust that you will at some point return the favour to them.
If you're save scumming around a certain element of Favors, that's that but still important to keep the value of that Favor-trade in mind, steering their limit breaks is a big part of the favor-only economy.
Leverages for Favors is another big area, like gold keys, and will continue to expand as more story missions come online.
There is one more major connection in the strategy layer to be added where Favors are the only currency.
We are looking at Stories that offer other options based on Favors down the like.
There is one Obligation storyline and n today, and more will be coming as we work through EA content roadmap.
I'm glad to hear all of this. I, for some reason I can't explain, am just all anxious about Favors and them having a baseline use in purchasing stuff.
Thanks!
