Ok, will take a look. We've had a few players report it, its on the semi-low priority list to fix as it isn't supposed to work that way. Maybe it doesn't :D
Sorry for missing a reply to this in December. A ton of economic changes have been made that should agreed your concern there. You still can't sell blueprints, they will be coming pretty soon, but you can make good money now in raid missions and others .
It is possible you're hacker is out of his league but it's very it's just familiarity with the systemb first.
The most basic instructions you can loop:
1. Connect and load all your programs from left to right. Your deck's IO (input/output) determined how many programs you can load.
2. Each program had charge count. When charges are exhausted, it unloads and needs to be loaded again.
3. For your turn, always scan every node to full scan 2/2 by using scan.
3. Use your other programs to deal with the IC.
4. Move deeper into the matrix host when your current node is scanned 2/2 and all IC disabled or dead.
5. If you're out of program charges and out of IO to load them again, end your turn.
6. Repeat.
Huzzah! Love missions playing with that tension, more are coming.
We have no plans to simplify, we're pretty sure a good tutorial will help most players get into the system and enjoy it. On our, we only plan to deep the higher-level hacking play, challenges, IC bosses, program types and more.
Completely agree, releasing anything without a good doc or tutorial is bad. We'll work to improve.
We're about 33% if the way done with the integrated tutorial.
Sorry that hacking section of the game isn't working for you. In a lot of missions, it's completely optional and/it you can avoid hack only missions completely. Still, some hacking is required to complete some missions, so like fighting or stealth, it is considered aain pillar of the tactical experience.
Also, not having full documentation is part of early access. After replaying Marathon Robbery and saving before hacking, I figured it out and now I like the hacking part haha.
Time to change my review back to a positive one.
Is the only option to basically always have attack programs loaded with enough power to destroy them without needing a reload?

Question: the idea of hacking was so cool that on game start I made my cyber knight's background good for hacking with the intention of making them my hacker, but so far it isn't possible because they don't have the deep brain implant. Is it possible in the game's current state to get that eventually? Also at creation with the background and stuff I selected, I would have much rather had a cyberdeck than dermal plating. I think that should either be an option, or based sensibly on your background. My background reads like a hacker but I can't hack and my CK feels gimped as a result.
