You have to realized the most of the issues in this title are thanks to the fact that added new mechanics to balanced out the fast peace action that storm 4 had with the switch tech meta, making newbies have a easier time to punish because there was a huge skill gap between switch techers and people who don;t.... thats awesome, but... they did something else too. than they NERFED switch tech anyways????? they nerfed the movement, they nerfed the shield, they removed so much defense options, so what was the point of completely changing the combat to counter the meta but, you just go ahead and just nerf storm 4 playstyle anyways????. it makes zero sense that to this day, there trying to fix it. the last patches they increase the speed of which you can switch tech now HAHAHAHAHA increasing the shield health, etc etc. People don't wanan play a buggy MESS.... no one wants to fix it either no one is moding storm connections, everyone went back to storm 4 or is playing EVO.
If cc2 does end up reverting the changes on switching, buffers, defense, giving more movement tech. maybe people would come back, but right now. the game feel sluggish to control.
ASLO, games 60 bucks while 4 you can get it for 5 bucks on sale. :/
Like, see it for yourself. You see IA sequences, don't do anything. It's wack, let me tell you.
Edit:
Ye, I'm experiencing some of them. Switch Leader now has a cooldown for 1 or 2 seconds solely to prevent leader changing abuse or smth. I don't frequently use it very much because... yeah, people like me, they have different playstyles. The only reason I play UNSC and don't look back to UNS4 is because of new characters that are otherwise not available in UNS4 unless if Storm 4 EVO mod is including characters FROM this game. I spent countless hours on UNS4 and the only thing I can't utilize is the Tilt move as an attack method (good thing that in UNSC, they swapped that to Ninjutsu 2, but again, I understand some do not even like having Tilt moves to be removed). Also, KB buttons being masked as PS4/Xbox controls? Bruh. No wonder when it comes to UNS series of games, I always play it with controller and never on keyboard/mouse. Pain in the ass to find proper keyboard button keybindings without people to ask questions in Forums or taking time to read the proper guides.
I seem to not get the full picture on what "bugs" they fixed, but to me, the AI fighting mechanism is not different than that in UNS4. Also, I don't care much about multiplayer/online battle, so...
About $40 for the base game and almost $90 for the Ultimate Edition (UE) (converted on an estimate because I live in Indonesia). 50~60 if it's on sale for UE, which happened right on my birthday party few months ago. Price for this game is like you wanna buy DCS: World modules here, ngl.
I never checked it out in person (because, ye, replaying the same ♥♥♥♥ in Storm 4 without new characters seems to get me bored faster than a cheetah), but I heard it got very positive feedback.
