How's the Story Mode?

I dont care about PvP and i wont buy the game at full prices, but im interested how the story mode is as someone who only plays singleplayer.

Don't buy it then game has 0 difficulty its so easy to S rank you can legit beat the story in a day it doesn't have an adventure mode or any other game modes beside the boruto story which is better than the actual story mode don't waste your time or money just watch somebody play it

The history one? its bad... the special story one? its pretty good, like a really good filler ark of boruto.

The Story Mode has a few well animated scenes but it's mostly just characters standing and talking in empty places.

The story itself is basically your average Naruto filler, but it has a few cretive scenarios that I really liked. Also it took me about 7-8 hours to complete without skipping any of dialouges, but you can probably get trough it in about 2 hours if you speedrun the thing.

But all in all I've had a fun time with it.

I have to admit, I really liked the special story. It was nothing special from a gameplay perspective and really short, but it was a great story for something non-canon. Of course it only serves as a supplement to the rest of the game, so I would not recommend it for just that story mode.

History uses a lot of stills from the anime, and lots of reading.

If the node the story is in is round it has no battle, and it won't be voiced.
If its square, it will have some story on both sides of the battle, and fully voiced.

The battles are so quick because the damage is so high, you'll have to stall to enjoy the dialogue. There's so much spoken dialogue during the battles. The high damage means that if you get hit even once, you probably won't get an S rank, so getting S ranks is just one huge rush down on the easy AI hoping they don't get any hits in.

The Naruto vs Gaara fight was pretty good, pretty much identical to the Storm 1 fight but without the frustrating controls Storm 1 had. Even had QTEs. The Shippuuden Naruto+Sakura vs Kakashi was also pretty much identical to Storm 2s fight. I heard both those first 2 games are amazing, but the Sub timing never felt right, maybe it's a PC issue.

Even though a player could easily re-create the battles from the story, for some reason they only mention them, so of the sound 4 battles, you only have Naruto vs Kimimaro and when fighting Sasuke, they're in their normal forms. Sure either of you if health is low could awaken during the fight for some seconds, but it won't be the start from awakened battle between them you see in almost every other game that covers that fight.

I think they try to include every fight Naruto or Sasuke is in, while only giving epic fights like Gaara vs Lee a mention in the story. It seems they tried to trim out any rematches, which is why Sasuke vs Gaara during attack on leaf is actually played, while Sasuke vs Gaara in the Chunin exam is only mentioned. If they really did have trimming in mind I wish they'd trimmed the pre-awakened fight of Naruto vs Sasuke out, and gave us the awakened version instead.

Storm 1 has been compressed into anime pictures and 12 fights. I didn't hate it, but it didn't meet my expectations for content that already exists.
