Region change?
Game thinks im in North America and matches me up with people from there, my guy i am literally 14000kms away. gotta be a way to change this ♥♥♥♥ or i want my money back fr

Same thing for me, I live in Tunisia and my steam region is also set to Tunisia yet I get matched with people from North America instead of the closest servers (Europe)

This trick helped me fix the issue. I set the system local to English (United kingdom) and now my region is Europe.
