So is there a way to disable your mic in this game or are we still stuck having to listen to everyone's background noise?

To effectively mute all of you mic devices:
Search "Change system sounds" on your Windows search bar. Open the "Recording" tab. Right click on each device and select "Disable".

If you wish to speak over Discord, etc. and still be muted in-game:
Make sure your main mic is enabled.
Right click any device which IS NOT your main mic and enable it (this device has to be plugged in and is most likely to be a controller mic or digital mic output if you have it). Open the "Properties" Window of that same device and lower the output volume to 0%. Set that now muted device as your "Default Device" and you're done. Now just go into Discord and return the mic input setting to your main mic.

ok yeah i was just asking about in game options, i already knew about that way from S4. Really just thought they would add a setting for it yk
