Never played or checked out MP myself, but given that the playerbase of this game is... Idk, rather low (?), don't give your hopes up.

What I heard is that Storm 4 has the most playerbase for multiplayer, but even then, you have to find people to pair up with. You should try asking around in Naruto-based Discord servers.

Also, there is never any sort of maintenance for multiplayer in all Storm games, apart from Shinobi Striker.

unlike storm 4 where any rank can join anyone's room in connections its skill based matchmaking meaning the game only pairs you with a similar rank player meaning the higher you rank is the harder is to find a similar ranked player
