how do i get my controller to work

Alrite, right click on the game in steam Library.\ Click on "controller layout" you can also do this in game with "shift+tab" there's gonna be a lil mini controller icon.

once you're in tcontroller confg. there should be a present already applied. If not, you can use the community confgs to add to make your xbox controller to work. or restart to default

yeah no ive tried that and still nothing

ive tried changing configs, not using steam input, using steam input, big picture mode, using a switch controller, using ds4 with a switch controller, restarting my pc, plugging in the controller after the game starts
