I suppose there are workarounds that may allow the game to work in the near-future once a tech savvy user finds out.
Windows 7 support ends on Jan 2020, there is no way Microsoft (or soon any other devs) will support an OS that has passed its service life.

To be fair. I also had some reservations against Win10 and just upgraded a few weeks ago. So far I canno't complain about Win10. Your system boots way faster, you have cloud service and everything else works like the old system. Btw you can still upgrade for free if you want.
