Yes, that's just multiplayer. You can kinda fix the issue by capping your FPS to 60 and your friend doing the same. But, that's really just the multiplayer.

Once again, not the servers or anything like that... Just multiplayer. Been on this game since 2019ish before it even had multiplayer. Infact the servers on here are hosted via your own internet. The best thing you can do is have good Internet and capping your FPS otherwise it'll just be a mess.

Well, what exactly are your specs? If your lagging FPS wise it will affect your friends performance on your server, it will raise their ping.

The ryzen 5 seems a bit bad for the GPU, but that shouldn't affect The Long Drive. It if makes you feel better I'm running a 4070TI with a Ryzen 9 and 32gb ram and still lag on this game lol. It's just multiplayer, in singleplayer I don't lag at all.

In multiplayer 2x the work is done to ensure host/client are seeing the same physics and etc, while in singleplayer it's just a single person. Tho, with each update multiplayer has gotten progressively better.

As mentioned to... Try turning off Vsync and cap to 60 FPS or lower that helped me with lag and desync.

i have like everything turned off expect mirrors and both him and me capped our fpses to 60. i even thought of using hamachi (since its like your own network) would do better and we can get less ping and maybe even no lag but that also didnt work. you got any idea how the fkin youtubers have smooth butter multiplayer?

There is only one developer who coding the game, not a whole team or a company. Patience.

Most of the time the youtubers are the HOST which it appears smooth, once you start driving and getting away from any kind of objects and are just in the middle of the desert the game stops lagging.
Is the multiplayer bouncing and other stuff like this will ever be fixed? :P :D kinda fun game not gona lie but the fun is ruined short time after joining and realising my car is doing backflips outta nowhere (FPS limited, and did every little trick to fix these issues)

Yeah, obviously. If you've ever played earlier multiplayer tests they we're so worse than now... You couldn't even drive half of the times! They improved it so much already, I'm hopeful next update it'll be even better, but still not fully fixed.
