The video doesn't fully capture the issue due to youtube only allowing 60fps, but you can still see it, just not as dramatic.

easier to see if you lower the video speed

Found a temporary solution: locking the fps to 50, it still happens on 49 and 51 but not 50. really weird.
I think it might be a hardware related issue. If you have a good GPU/CPU your not going to experience this as much, I have a 3060 with a i-7 and I see the blurriness when going extremely fast down the road somewhere above 120km+, but otherwise it's smooth. FPS lock should help majorly I think it's something to do with physics rendering.

I got a RTX 3080 with a Ryzen 7 5800x. my pc shouldn't struggle at all with this game.

i think it might be something with your monitor

I don't think so, it happens on both monitors, 144hz and 60hz.
Huh, that's odd. I have two monitors too one 144hz and 60hz, lol. But, neither have this issue. Try messing around with your settings a bit more?

You're playing with a gamepad no?

I'm also getting this, doesn't matter my setting or refresh rate. Tried a few various resolutions and refresh rates from 50-144hz.

Same problem. Only happens when my character moves.

I am pretty confident this has to do with the physics timestep in Unity being left at the default at 0.02 (which translates to 50 updates per second). This causes the physics to update at 50 FPS but the rest of the game runs at whatever FPS your system can crank out. This same problem occurs in other similar Unity games such as The Slaverian Trucker and Junkyard Truck.

The issue is definitely minimized when using 50 FPS cap, can confirm that.

I also think that some people just don't notice this issue because they aren't running at a higher FPS than 50 anyway.

hmm idk... It happens below 50fps aswell, like if I lock the fps to 49 or lower it constatly shakes when I move, occasionally happens on 50fps too, but tabbing out fixes it most of the time (only on 50fps)

Still think its the timestep? If so is there anything I can do to fix it?

I'm not a Unity dev, but this is a recurring issue for other Unity games. I was also able to notice it below 50 FPS, I was just saying that some people may not notice it as much if that's the case, as it was less pronounced.

There's nothing you can do to fix it, it needs to be addressed by the developers.

If you are curious: https://blog.unity.com/technology/fixing-time-deltatime-in-unity-2020-2-for-smoother-gameplay-what-did-it-take

BTW, I'm guessing the reason why it sometimes happens on 50 FPS but not always is due to a lack of V-Sync (not sure if the in-game setting actually works or not).

Of course, this is all anecdotal evidence, so it's just my educated guess.

I run the game often at even over 100 FPS and have never had this issue.
It could however be something related to hardware or drivers.

The game's vsync does work, yes, and if you havent id suggest trying it (without FPS limiter)
