Wolfenstein

The Most Positively Rated Wolfenstein Game on Steam
Wolfenstein 3D - 94% positive (2.3k+ reviews)

Wolfenstein 3D: Spear of Destiny - 85% positive (400+ reviews)

Return to Castle Wolfesntein - 92% positive (5k+ reviews)

Wolfenstein: The New Order - 90% positive (31k+ reviews)

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - 88% positive (10k+ reviews)

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - 77% positive (20k+ reviews)

Wolfenstein: Youngblood - 47% positive (7.6k+ reviews)

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot - 47% positive (170+ reviews)

Wolfenstein 2009[prnt.sc] - 98% positive (6.2k+ reviews)

Now, I know some of these reviews might be more positive because those playing it appreciate that it's no longer available for purchase and are baring that in mind when they consider its perks and flaws, but I don't think the large proportion of players would rate a cleary poor game from a beloved franchise so highly if they weren't enjoying themselves.

The fact that it's rated higher than ANY other Wolfenstein game currently sold on Steam and is the only one to be rated overwhelmingly positive, I think should be a strong reason for id Software, Raven, Activision, Bethesda, Zenimax and/or Microsoft to sort out whatever issue is keeping it from hungry Wolfenstein fans, and give it the release it deserves.

So because of that, I've started a petition on Change:
https://www.change.org/bring-back-wolfenstein-2009

Please help by signing and sharing the petition, once we reach our goal of 100 signatures, I'll increase it to 1,000 for the next push and then forward it to Bethesda and Zenimax.

The numbers speak the truth, it was my and many others favorite Wolfenstein game. You'd probably have more luck posting it on the Bethesda forums where the developers themselves have a chance of seeing it and more people too than on this dead forum.

I'll be sharing as many places as I can before I bring it to the attention to Bethesda (a petition with one signature isn't going to convince them there's much of a demand).

Feel free to do your bit and share it too.

I did see (and sign) yours, but it was very self-focused and went in to detail about what games you did and didn't enjoy and unrealistic switch ports etc.

I wanted to focus on what was important, bringing Wolf 09 back to digital stores.

I've noticed this about games that have been delisted for some reason they come up much higher in review score, not sure if it's some weird side effect of it being delisted or just an odd coincidence. this is easily my favorite wolfenstein game as well. some of the most key areas you look for in a shooter are really fleshed out here, level design, character animation(specifically enemy death), feel of the weapons, all outstanding. wolf old blood provides a similar level of joyful killing but it's like 10% of the quality of level design and it can F right off with the pipe climbing parts, trash.

I have this game on my steam account but I can't see any review scores, probably because the game does no longer have a store page.

ps. yes I see the linked screenshot but how old is that? Anyways, pls link me the review page because I can't see it.

You can only view review score for it if you put don't own it and put the game on your wishlist.

you can actually add a "shelf" or "collection" not sure the right name for it, in your library and set the view category to user or review score.

Forgot about that.

I tried out the latest Wolfenstein games, but they were a let down. I think this is the best Wolfenstein game from the whole series. The latest games are just overly flashy and made for commerce and marketing instead of great oldschool gameplay and content.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is the best in the whole series, still has a large fanbase/playerbase to this day.

partly from extension, its relation to the quake 3 engine and the incredible development philosophy of the game. making the multiplayer free pretty early on. it has a lot going for it beyond the game itself.

That doesn't make it 'the best', just the 'most popular'.

20 years still going strong I would say it easily makes it the best and most popular.

Opinion is what makes either one of them the best, nothing else.
